It's been a long wait, but I finally funded the next stage for the car. Been working with Mike@PH for a few weeks now discussing different options. It would be great if we can get this in the car in July/August time frame, but we will see....you all know how engine builders are:

PT70
Manley Forged Connecting Rods
ARP studs and main caps
Michigan rod bearing
Sealed power main bearing
.020 bore/hone
L&M 5.4 specific pistons
PH Enginer Builder Stage 2 Heads (details pending)
Cams (specs pending)
Cage (details/timing pending)

I already got my Jeg's front runners, and I am awaiting details on a two-step, and a battery kill switch. I should have more details on Monday. I won't be upgrading the turbo till the off season, so will continue with the 67, though Will went low 10's on his 67 so it should still work well. I'll also do the tokicos in the off season as well.

My goal is to crank up the boost to 17psi, and see where the car lands ET wise. The pistons will give me some additional power over stock, as they will set flush with the block, and the better flowing heads should give me some more top end.

Well, his personal engine builder. He provided the test mule for them. I'm waiting on specifics on it. He custom developed heads for the 6 when I had it as well.

I hope it will be. Just know I don't need a built motor to beat your baby blue whipple pos.

Just got off the phone with Mike. Project is now completely funded, and underway. Mike is shipping off the block probably Monday or Tuesday of next week. My new motor should be here tomorrow or Monday. Cams are now officially part of the build. Mike talked about a 76mm turbo. We will do everything but the turbo, and see whats left in the funds for the project.

Right now, I can't stall the car past 2500, with the tires sticking, and really good track prep I can stall it to 2800-2900. He said a larger turbo would help me stall a bit more. Plus with the heads and cams moving some of my power up top, should go a long way at the line and also, at the big end of the track mph wise.

As soon as I get more details, pics, etc I'll update the thread.<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

Thanks.

Spoke to Mike today, the new block is there. He got his hands on a long block so I didn't end up going with karkraft. The block, heads and crank go to the builder Monday or Tuesday.

My trans is only rated up to 1k and I will probably dial it in somewhere between 550 and 700 depending on supporting mods. Knowing Mike, he will put it at 600 on his greedy machine, and then after I get used to it, rebuild the rear, bump it up another 100.

Todd has it done right.. I was looking at a 2005 Mustang V6 the other day for 8500.00 and was thinking, hmmm this would be a great car to build up and make a track car. I would do it just like Todd is. :p

Minus all the shit I broke when it was a 6er, right? I just got off the phone with Mike. We are going GT500 pumps, a 13-14psi tune, and a 17psi tune.

Motor is in the car, its up and running with the 67mm. I will be selling the 67, and now waiting on my new 70mm to arrive so Mike can tune it. He plans to do two 17psi tunes, one for 93 and one for 104. The one for 104 is for a high 9 second pass, but I need to get a cage and some drag shocks before I try for that ET.

Should have the car back in a few weeks or so.

Car is pretty much done. I plan to pick it up on the 28th of this month. I will have to get new axles and a locker at some point....Mike said it was making all of the TQ by 3200 RPM.
