Shoot out rules are designed to keep the spirit of an actual street driven vehicle.

The following rules apply to all classes, unless otherwise stated in the sub-class rules. Shoot out rules are designed to keep the spirit of an actual street driven vehicle.

Year, Make and model: Shoot out is open to all 2005-2010 Mustangs.

All cars must be street legal: Current insurance and registration.

All drivers will have a current driver license. Competition license as required.

Classes: Index based on time trial elapsed times.
1/10th second Breakouts.
No sand bagging or pedaling. Less than honorable racing will not be tolerated.
Index groups with low car counts will be split into indexs above or below based on the vehicle ET.

Modifications: Any modifications are allowed in any index. NA and Power Adder cars will be placed in the appropriate class based on those platforms. NO RACECARS

Weight: No Minimum.

Fuel: Vehicles with a 12.000 or slower elapsed time are restricted to maximum of 94 Octane pump gas.

Interior: Driver and passenger seat required (aftermarket/OK) Rear seat delete must have finished appearance. Headliner, door panelsand carpeting required no gutted interiors.

Accessories: All lights operative, 1 operative brake per wheel, all installed accessories must work.

Safety items: All cars must meet all state registerd safety inspection requirements. Current helmet, restraining devices, etc. as required.

Suspension: Stock type, no back halved or tube chassis permitted.

Glass: Safety glass required, no Lexan or Plexiglass. Windows will be operative.

Ladder type and tree: All run, sportsmen ladder, Pro .500 tree. Index, 1/10th Break-out.

Electronics: No delay boxes. Stutter boxes, throttle stops etc. prohibited. Any optical or mechanical device that permits the driver to ascertain the position of their vehicle with respct to the starting line is prohibited.

Staging: All cars will enter the staging area under their own power. No towing to burn-out area.

Lane choice: Will be self determined by each pair of competitors. If they can not agree it will be determined by a track official.<O:p

Transmission: Any gear change must occur by direct action of the driver. Any non OEM type pneumatic, electric, hydraulic, etc. shifters are prohibited. Must be a single handle, commercially available bolt on shifter.

Class compliance: Adherence to class rules will be based solely on the judgment of shootout officials. Anyone found in non-compliance with class rules will be removed from competition and required to leave the grounds. All track and shootout official decisions are final.
