Fun Ford / Battle of the Brands will be no more, but the NMRA has stepped up and made an open invitation for the guys in that series.

NMRA and NMCA Welcome FFW / Battle of the Brands Racers

It is never good news when a fellow sanctioning body ceases operations because that means there are less events and locations to race our muscle cars. The NMRA (since 1999) and the NMCA (since 2002) have worked very hard to become the #1 muscle car drag racing series and membership organizations in the U.S. Over the last year our NMRA and NMCA teams have redoubled their efforts to stay #1 and even grow despite our country's current economic downturn. The NMRA and NMCA season openers in Bradenton, Florida, were both overwhelming successes with tons of racers, packed stands, great car shows and national event-sized midways. The NMRA and NMCA have major aftermarket sponsorship support and boast the largest all-cash contingency programs in street-legal drag racing.

Special Offer to FFW / Battle of the Brands Racers:

The NMRA and NMCA welcome any FFW / Battle of the Brands racers who would like to run with either series. To show our support of your racing program, the NMRA and NMCA are willing to waive the membership requirement to any FFW / BOTB member who races for the first time with the NMRA and/or NMCA in 2009. This will save these new NMRA/NMCA racers $45 per series, money that can go towards their race entries in 2009. Simply present your FFW / BOTB membership card (or other proof of membership) at the NMRA/NMCA registration trailer at an event and the membership requirement will be waived.

To see which NMRA Ford Nationals events are near you log on to www.nmradigital.com/schedule (http://www.nmradigital.com/schedule). For the NMCA Muscle Car Nationals event schedule log on to www.nmcadigital.com/schedule (http://www.nmcadigital.com/schedule).

Thank you and see you at the races!

Team NMRA and NMCA

Really sucks that FFW is no more. The first big event I raced in was FFW down in Richmond back in 06. Guess I will hit NMRA then. I plan to hit Milan.
