Fun slow car...

Went to the track Friday night for some testing and had a good night of consistant runs with the '06. Then Saturday and Sunday I worked on the '88 GT. Took it out for some shake downs on the back roads, MAN!! what a fun car, after running the '06, and, within a few seconds being at "go to jail" speed, it's a blast to run the old fox body and just have fun banging through the gears without hitting crazy speeds. Nice change and brings home the saying, It's more fun to drive a slow car fast than drive a fast car slow....street wise anyway.

LOL... too funny. I would love to have an old Fox with a nice exhaust system. They were quick for the time and you just can't beat that old 5.0 thump.

I had to run Zach's car to his shop to swap cars with him. My experience was just the opposite--massive low end torque and speed NOW. I had to concentrate on not going lightspeed...He just ran a 12.5 without any suspension work...

Yeah the '88 is a survivor, all original. Even the map light works and the ash tray cover isn't broke......Took it to the track once last year for fun and ran a 14.7 @ 98.

the fucking ash trey wasnt broken... my 92 and 93 never lasted a year... and I DONT smoke.... that damn clip on the center console... done... and after only 2 yrs that door pocket sag..
