You should do better now with heads and Cams, more power.
Sure would be fun to see how fast you can go.

There was one at the Davisville Air Field in RI many years ago. Til 1984 time frame IIRC. The USAF shut it down to sell the property. Racers took it over for awhile. It would be nice to see somthing like it again for sure.

That looks like it would be a great event to attend and/or participate in. I know there is a similar event held in the fall on the Bonneville Salt Flats. Land Speed Racing is very addictive. I have a friend with a hopped up Model A Ford running a 200cid flathead 4 banger. When I met him at Speed Week in 2005 at Bonneville, he trapped at 114mph. I'll see if I can locate the article I wrote about the event for a magazine named the Secrets of Speed Society, which promotes vintage Ford racing.
