Already Thinking about next year events

We are looking at a Drag Event for 2010 at MIR..

This event will be open for the last generation Muscle Cars,
with new Cafe standards for 2016 I am afraid the V8 Muscle cars are a dying breed

This will Include the following V8 American Cars.
(Please Let me Know if I miss Any)

2005-2010 Mustang
2007-2010 Shelby's
2004-2006 Pontiac GTO
2009-2010 Dodge Challenger
2010-2011 Chevy Camaro
2005-2010 Dodge Charger/Magnum

Should we include the Pontiac G8?
and what about the Cadilac CTS ?
Both are V8's and American

I think it would be a BLAST
if the classes work out well for our current event we can extend it to the next event, this would pit like ET cars in heads up racing.
I would love to run with a new Camaro or Challenger with a few mods and hopfully win... :D haha Todd running 9's would be smoking all others off the track with a V6 (hehe undercover) monster .. I would love it !!

There are several guys at work and at cruise-ins that want to race in this event, I have already put feelers out and there is a huge interest in it.
I like the Decade one (Last 10 years of American Muscle Cars) But This would include a few late Fbodys and New Edge cars, and we know some of them have some nice power with a few mods. But Again this is only for Street Driven Cars Only No Race Cars period

I think I would like to include a V6 Class as well, (Camaro, Mustang, Charger and Challenger)

Yes it is American and yes we may have to include them. I don't like some of the people that are associated with the SRT-4 crowd, that being said I do know of a couple that are cool guys,

But Then we would have to include the Cobalt crowd too.. then the other 4 bangers like Honda will say were built in America, why not us. Then we start turning into another Worldcup Finals Import vs Domestic. I think we need to keep the event open for V6 and V8 Cars only, unless Ford Makes the Eco-boost 4 banger Mustang. then well see.

I have met alot of jackasses who own Corvettes and Camaros and Mustangs etc.

I don't see why you think you would need to creep beyond US auto companies. The reason MIR does the events they do is because they are trying to attract the largest crowd they can. I tend to doubt that they are getting pressure from import fanboys who feel left out. I am just saying that there is an untapped segment here that was you might consider.

So I have been puting feelers out on this event on other forums and the response is positive.,
V6 - V10 cars only, American Icon Cars.

The Cars we should include are:
Cadillac CTS, XLR-V,
Pontiac G8, GXP, GTO, Trans Am/Firebird (2000-2002)
Dodge Viper, Charger, Magnum, Challenger,
Chevy Camaro, Corvette,
Ford Mustang, Shelby, SVT, Marader, Taurus SHO, MKS/MKZ


I am talking to VMP for this event, since MIR may be booked, I was thinking since
these are Detriot Muscle, what about somthing close to Motor City? or Tennessee (2nd Largest Auto Manufacture)
Or we can do something in Dougs Area, he can sponsor since he also tunes for most of these cars?..

we book the next year with our hotel at check out every year. its great. We just tell them Coachella weekend and theyd be retards to not know what were talking about
