Im sure someone can give me advice. Im looking to get my car into the low 14/high 13 second range. Right now it has a JLT CAI, Custom straight pipe dual exhaust (dont ask, my dad had it done) with SLP LM, and a 93 Oct Race tune from Bamachips. And i just dont wanna go nitrous. So i know its gonna be pricey but i'll just take it a step at a time,
My fastest time was at Mason Dixon and it was a 15.425 @ 90mph.

hmmm, not familiar with the 4.0. Do they offer cams?

One company does. its either that or get a regrind on the stock ones.

I had Powerhouse cams on mine, they don't offer them any more. Super Six had cams, but the company that does their regrinds went under. I had the Powerhouse cams on mine when it was a 4.0, it was pretty damn aggressive.
I would look at Chris's build, he ran 13's all stock motor with the 4.0. Here's a thread he has on it.

Otherwise, I'd put a 75 shot on it.

I'm with the others too. Cams, R&P Gears, spray, and/or turbo or supercharger. There is also weight reduction too, but that gets tricky when it comes to keeping it comfortable to drive.

My main concern is that it will be driven every day as well and i wanna try to hit a decent time with spray. Now i just gotta figure out where i can get some cams.

You will need custom regrinds....I'd put 2.5k aside.

I have high flow Pypes shorty headers on Blue, and you can get long tubes, but on the 245 cid you want to keep the cats for a little back pressure for the low end torque, that is as long as you dont have power adders, if you do the long tubes are the way to go

SuperSix makes them for the 4.0.
