For guys with the newer intake manifold, Steeda makes a plug kit that will delete the butterflies. If you just follow the instructions you will have an air leak. The end plugs that are placed on the back side where the linkage enters the manifold will have an air leak if you don't block it off with a plug, I will be tapping out the hole and installing an allen set screw with some sealant where the original seal for the shaft is.

The other issue is, the instructions don't make it very clear that the flange for the end plugs needs to be placed toward the back, or the plug can fall right out and enter the cylinder, not good..

Ah yes. The only two diag tools needed... Bud, and WD-40! LOL

How much did you pay for the kit? I just used 2 tubes of quick steel. $8 bucks and a couple hours later I had some CMCV delete plate.

The plugs are 60 bucks. Not a big fan of epoxy/liquid steele in any application that may allow a chunk to fall out and do damage.

Still, to this day, can't get this whole recycling thing through my head, we either threw them in the trash or through 'em in the car for pegging street signs. Now they collect on the bench till I do the right thing.
