Over the past few years I have tried several Axle back mufflers and as I mod the sound changes and I need new mufflers, it's a never ending cycle.

I started out with a K&N Cold Air Kit and SLP Loud mouths and yes they were loud.. I sold them for MACS, I Loved the MACS, awesome deep tone with a drone only it's mother could love. I Installed a set of JBA Longtubes and JBA Catted H and the MACS turned to CRAPS. So I ran the Stockers for a while until I got a set of FRPP GTA's, the sound is nice, not too loud and not too raspy, so I ran them for over a year and was satisfied with the sound, I wanted a lower tone but I figured with Longtubes that was not going to happen.

Then I had an opportunity to pickup a set of FRPP Stingers cheap. well at closer inspection of them I thought these things were going to be LOUD as HELL.. they are a baffled straight through design, and I could see right through them. Well Friday since the car was on the lift I thought I should toss them on there just to hear them, now I have been listening to Marc's Car with the Magnaflows and it has a deep rumble that I like so I figured I would trade him since he has been playing video of his car with open headers and saying he wants his car to sound like that :BA:....
Thats what I thought these Stingers were going to sound like..

Well to My Suprize that are not any louder than the GTA's but they have a DEEP Rumble tone that I wanted, and they sound incredible.

I know Marc is going to hate me since he has been calling me about them, but I am going to try them a few weeks before I make my Mind up on them.

Sound Clip coming soon

Damn you! I at least want to hear them. I'm coming over Sunday to hear those things. Be ready... I am ringing the bell around 1 PM. LOL

I lost a little at the track w/ those... did prefer the sound, but lost... maybe jsut a little tweak in the tune was what I needed, but I just swapped back.

I have had stingers on mine for awhile now. The only thing I heard that I liked nearly as much was the Corsa. Putting LTs on the car now so I am looking forward to seeing how much the sound changes.

Your running 12.23 with stock manifolds? wow, Nice, how are you doing that?

How? see vid in sig lol :)

Good cold air, hooking track, working suspension (1.69 60), good tune, experienced driver (been racing lowered powered NA cars for years, my stock motor 96 Cobra went 12.0@113 back in the day). It runs consistantly in the 12.30s when the temp is anywhere under 70 degrees and high 12.30s to low 12.40s in the heat of the summer. I ran 12.30 4 times that day and then added some fuel and it went 12.26 and then 12.23.

I just added longtubes, X pipe, and CJ springs. I have 4:56s for it but have not been able to find a set of taller 17 in drag radials. I still think on a perfect pass an 11.99 on the bone stock motor is possible. We'll see.

I have heard all the Cecil excuses before. I have run plenty fast at other tracks, my best just happened to be at Cecil. You can say its the air all you want but the car only ran 110 mph so it is not like I had some insane MPH.
