Picked up detonation at top of first gear??? lost, gas good.. about to check plugs, battery... wtf...:confused:
FWIW
best 60 of the night was 1.71 w/ f'n whatever I was fighting.
12.05, 12.07, 12.11 :3rd:.. about to f' up and make a cam swap...
all 114+ :gwave::gwave::gwave:

Last 2 times that happened to me I had 2 loose spark plugs. Swap them out and you should be fine.

Get some AeroKroil and pour a little bit down the spark plug a few hours before removing, this will prevent any broken plugs when removed.
The brisk spark plugs are well worth the extra money, for one they are a one piece design which virtually eliminates the worry of the spark plug breaking off in the head Part Number 3VR17YS - shipped straight from Brisk. Single piece plug. About $18 ea.

I like the idea that you can gap these plugs without a 40.00 tool..

Really !! how much are you cutting off?
For anyone who does not know what Side Gapping (http://www.performanceunlimited.com/documents/plugsidegapping.html) is...
Basically it's cutting part of the plug tang to expose more of the electrode and get a better spark. Supposedly shortens the life of the plugs,

In the Old Days we used to bend the tang to the side to get the gap needed

Just put these in for the track, DD stick with ole faithful...
