OK, so I tried my luck at the track this year.
13.49 @ 104.3, 1.96 60' was my last run.

Over the 6 total passes my 60' ranged from 2.52 down to the 1.96 on my last run, so I'm getting that down. I am running Eagle F1 A/S 255/45/18s on FRPP Polished Bullitt wheels.

I have Steeda Comp Springs, Steeda Billet LCAs, C&L Racer intake and 93 Octane tune. I have CHE a-arm brace with torque limiters, FRPP strut tower brace, CHE relocation brackets. I run the Hurst short throw shifter.

My goal is a totally street driven car that is mechanically biased for road handling, yet can turn a mid to high 12 with everything in it. I don't take out the spare, jack, anything. I run 1/2 tank of gas. I air up the fronts to 55psi just before the run.

Questions:

Without an actual drag radial, what is a good 60' time?
Can my car cut a 12 and is it just me?

I can live with the lack of skill to put my car in the 12s, but if there is something simple I can do to make the car faster in the 1/4 I'm all ears.

Nitto dr's will help you on both tracks :dr1:

Only other good track/soft cpd tires are 600$ Cups... not worth it!

start there...

CAI, custom tune, 4.10's, and DR's will get you to the 12's full trim.

I forgot I have UDPs and 3.73 FRPP gears. I guess I just need tires.

How much does the adjustable 3rd link help?

Low 1.9's on street tires for a 60' is about it.
you may get lucky with good track prep and crack a high 1.8 but don't hold your breath. Do you have Lower Control arms or are they stock?
this will help with wheel hop. Like Chad said, Drag radials will get you in the 12's

Yup, drag radials and seat time will get you there with what you have. 4.10:1 ring & pinion gears would help too. Myself and several others popped high 12.8's with that setup.

Drag radials will be a definate help although don't expect results overnight. Once you learn to hook up you then need to fight bog, but you'll get there with seat time. Good luck.

dr's will help the rookie even more than the good driver imo because the rookie can take it right to the limiter and pop the clutch and see a difference in the 60' compared to trying to launch on the street tire.what do you guy's think? what rpm do you shift at?

LOL... that's hat I was doing. WOT 7k rpm clutch dumps and pulling low 1.7 high 1.6 60' times.
