I was wondering what years the Lighting was built, what engine options for those years Ect..

I think they were 02 and 03. Not sure. But I do know they were 5.4 2V motors.

93-95 were 351 N/A trucks.

99-04 were 5.4 2V with 99-00 being 360hp and 01+ 380hp both with 450tq. Difference between 99-00 and 01+ was bigger MAF, 3:73 gears (compared to 3:55's) and better intercooler.

They respond well to mods and are happy at 460-480hp on the stock blocks then when you build them they can handle upwards of 750hp easy.

Wow! So it sounds like if you can find someone willing to let one go, an 01-04 is tha best way to go for a power junkie... LOL

The 351 NA's must have put down some nice power too. 340 ftlbs of tq iirc.
