Track elevation is 350' prediction shows 67 degrees most likely with humidty above 50%.

DA will probably be around 1500'

NOW, the night before they plan on running till after midnight....Hmmmmm.

Mid 60's w/ 50% humidity is really good weather... few hundo feet in alt....Im curious to see what that'll effect.

The night before I wasnt planning on running... but, if something breaks, have an extra day to fix!

Whats the night before DA lookin like??? some of that - stuff??? :gwave:

Really hard to say till the day of, for sure...

This last Sat night they were at +1000
Sunday was just about sea level

Current weather shows 72 for a high with moisture in the area.

Doesn't matter because we will all be dealing with the same DA. Not too sure with the predicted conditions we will see too many record runs from the Northern racers.

However, for the Southern guys that usually run in pea soup it looks good....

Yes indeed! After 10pm there's a 'halo' around the time clock and lights!

DA dosent matter... thats the REAL reason why we did this... +2500, -2500... we are all in the same air.

Even times take a backseat to RACING!!:qd:

Tune. He got a tune from one vendor and the trans part works fine but the AFR is jacked up. That vendor is refusing to fix the AFR, so he took it to another shop. That guy fixed the AFR, but the trans throws codes once an a blue moon.

My Dyno Tune from Doug was done last year, I did not have CAMS
the car ran like a Bat out of Hell. In may 2009 I toasted the Trans so needed another so I picked up a 2008 takeout with very low miles, when I installed it I was getting some errors P0745 and a Flashing O/D off light, doug had a fix for this and applied it to the tune and it worked fine.
In july I installed COMP NSR CAMS and asked Doug to add them to the tune well he said that no tune is needed for NSR cams without lockouts or limiters. so I took it to the track and the car fell flat on it's face. the best I could get was 12.9 at 105 I could the A/F was 11.8 I have been talking to doug for 6 weeks without success, he says that this should not be doing this and that there must be somthing else wrong. so I Decided to have Excessive dyno tune the car, and it ran fine but the P0745 and OD light was back. Chris has 15 years experience tuning the Modular motors but admits that has little experience with the 5R55S. Doug has spent many hours developing his 5R55S tunes on his own car. I wish I could have both...

After the Shootout I am going to see JJ at Woodbine, I am so frustrated that I can't get the tunes fixed before the shootout....

Scott, were you able to manually lean out the tune with the user adjustable settings and did the AF follow the adjustments?

Yea but dougs tune only allows a 6%. Lean / Rich adjustment. I max it out and get about 12.4 WOT Air Fuel, so yea it followed the setting.
