I didn't listen to the idiots i mean "experts" who said don't build a 5.4 they are no good. crap every high performanve vehicle ford has made with a mod motor (with the exception of the terminator in which a 5.4 superchaged will not fit without major mods) has a 5.4 gt500, gt, rough rider off road trucks, cobra r, lightning etc.:qd: i'm a rebel i guess.

i've taken a little more weight out so we'll see what she does now. looks like some humidity in the air for sunday so it's not going to exrth shattering like i hoped but the temp is down so hopefully the DA will be below 1500ft. what happened to the normal oct\nov DA's of -800 to -1500

That is simply awesome. Congrats. There are 5.4's with FI that don't run ET's like that (mine included).

mine isn't exactly as "streetable" as the FI cars but it sounds f'n mean at a stoplight :). i'll get about 8-10mpg with this combo maybe a bit better on the highway maybe 14-15mpg in OD with the converter locked.
I'm thinking with a set of custom stepped headers with merge collectors i could pickup 20hp or so and a good oil pan with windage tray should help 5-10hp i think 10.50's could be possible. that would put me around 600hp at the crank NA using the basic calculators i'm getting between 550-570hp at the crank...not too shabby for a 334cid engine on pump fuel (E85 is sold at chevron stations here) plus using ported factory heads with stock valves and no trick big bore block or stroker crank etc. granted everything in my engine was custom or chosen puposfully to maximize nA power but none was proprietary meaning anyone can get what i got even the intake. JPC is the only company offerring a 5.4 3V intake and believe me it works. forget the twice designed C&L or the forever in the making FAST intakes the JPC works period like it or not. for a max effort car whether it be NA or FI spend the money once and wisely. this goes for all your parts. there's no need to just buy off the shelf parts. the reason why my car has always run so good is that i call the company and have them match the part for my combination (extremely important in the case of converter and camshafts). after that it's attention to detail. i file my own rings and they are perfectly matched for each cylinder, all clearances are checked and rechecked, cams are degree'd within 1\4degree of eachother and exactly where the manufacturer advises them to be set. also i coated the piston tops and combustion chambers\valve heads. everything is port matched and gaskets are all cut to match exactly. my only shortcut on this engine was the headers. i used the 4.6 headers only1 5\8" and 'massaged' to fit so i know there's a bit of power left there but i was in a time crunch and didn't have time to make a set of custom headers have them coated etc.
it's all about the combination...and attention to detail.
i honestly believe now i can run 10.50's with this engine NA, i mean after all that 10.91 was only the second time out with this combo and it was capped up with full exhaust 2.5" at that.
gimme a transbrake and drop another1-2tenths...imagine an NA 3V running some low 10's (10.30's counts)

That's sweet, I guess you can call E85 pump gas, though you can run some impressive timing with it. MMR makes a 5.4 3v intake, it costs an arm and a leg though. How much did yours run?

Mid 10's would be sweet, I hope I get a chance to watch you run again.

EDIT: What CR do you run, like 11.0-1 or even higher?

around 12.2:1 compression and could have went a little higher. the JPC blows away the MMR as far as fit and finish and probably performance. the 5.4 version like mine is somewhere around $1800
