in a way...

cool motor down much faster after driving to the track, after each run...

allowing more datalog, consistant conditions to dial in suspension, tuning, etc...

I think if I can get where I hit 7.70 consistently I will be in the 11 sec. club with a stock motor and heads. my car cant get more consistent I don't think It hits 7.80's all day and night with the occasional 7.79. I am just trying to squeeze another 9 hundredth's of a tenth out of her. I just don't know what else I can do to do it maybe a uca so I can play with the pinion angle so I can launch harder with out the ds hitting but I cant launch much harder since I already leave at 6500. the only mods left for me to do before heads would be ewp, and tb or am I missing anything.

What did you run in the 1/4, I remember a thread you were planning on a trip.

Did it pan out?

+1
4rwhp approx.= maybe nothing
no change in e.t. but definitely cools down quicker. if you do it drill a few holes in your thermostat. it helps bleed air from the system and allows the coolant to flow when it's closed. i used an 1\8" bit and drilled 6 holes in the blade (the part that opens) of the t-stat. my car runs super cool now better than running a 160 t-stat :) still gets heat in the winter also.

I have been using a Meziere fo almost 4 years and I really doubt it does much in the HP department but it definatly keeps the motor cooler in heavy summer traffic with the AC full blast and it does cool the motor faster at the track or between Dyno pulls. I removed the Thermostat alltogeher 3 years ago to circulate the water more freely and that doesn't seem to hurt anything, I never thought about drilling holes.
