Happy Thanksgiving!
One of the thing I am thankful for, is having met such a great group of Mustang obsessed folk like myself.

I used to have to be at my desk at 6 for near 11 years... yuk! Glad that is over.
I did 6-2:30 for many, many moons, then switched to 7-3:30. Just can't get up at 4am like I used to day after day.
Now with govt flex time being pushed, I do 6:30-4 and get every other Friday off. The alternate week I work from home Wed and Friday. Given I commute 45 miles each way, that's a good savings on gas and a bit less insanity each week to deal with.
At least that's the theory. I work 6:30-5:30 or later more often than I like, often need to be in the office on my telework days and my alternate Friday off, and am usually doing something work related remotely in the early evenings. Our work culture is totally fucked up.
From where I sit, I will have a FULL government retirement May 2014. My goal is to buy a Meineke franchise or similar auto repair facility, hire my sons and train them to manage the business, and sponsor youth oriented racing. And still find time to play in my blues and rock bands:

Not sure if we ever talked about this, I'm heavy into blues and blues rock. Just picked up Eric Clapton Crossroads on vinyl, amazing box set.

Big Stevie Ray Vaughn fan! And Tommy Castro as well, and always loved the way Jeff Healey did the blues, terrible that hes gone now. He sings my favorite version of Houchie Couchie Man from his Live in Montreal set in 1999.

In the dark ages, when racing season wound down I would crank up the music side of my life and play rock and blues clubs the fall and winter with my blues band. That group broke up about 2-3 years ago but I'm looking to form another group someday soon. To get back up to speed I haunt the open mic nights at blues clubs and practice, practice, practice. I see there are a lot of venues still that allow us guitar slingers to come and jam. Might be an evening out guys, what do you think?
