I went with the schrader performance model. At the time I got mine only black was available, but it works with my red and black theme. Shipping was also free, and the price was right.
Here's a good thread with pics--mine is exactly like that and complements the gray interior just fine.

I was thinking about making my own, but if the price is right on a prefab....

I think they are $227 at the moment. I'll bring the car to the next meeting if the weather is nice.

You know, I am a amature Funiture Builder, I could build one Nicer for 100 bucks,
Marc knows, I have all the Saws and tools to do it....
I would just need to get my Moms Car out of the garage. ( anyone have a crank for a 2000 Saturn SL?)

I liked the fact that this vendor used lightweight ABS plastic for the base materials, and not the heavier plywood used by other competitors. Since the seat doesn't weigh all that much (the seatbelt hardware takes up most weight) I think it's hard to realize a real decrease unless you use something similar.
Check out http://rearseatdelete.com/mustangcoupe05.html for other details...I wish they had something similar for my '97...

This kit removes up to 16 lbs from your 05-08 Mustang. Beware of companies that claim larger numbers as 16 is the MOST you'll lose due to Ford's rear seat design.
Must be some light weight stuff...
Since there in North Carolina we should contact them and see if they would bring several to the event and offer a nice discount for racers

It's not that big of a deal or project to make one out of sheet metal. It's easy to paint as well and you can get really trick with it and look bad ass IMO.
I love mine...:D

That IS nice. Mine just makes a nice shelf for hauling the tires to the track...

That looks good Mark. I was thinking of just making my own also. I am going to wait until I am fast enough to justify putting the 6 point roll-bar in before I pull the seat though. The few pound I would save don't seem worth it at my current ET's.
