Looks Like a Record Snow Storm

Well I guess Winter is hitting early in the east coast.. the I-95 corridor is expected to get close to 20 inches of snow from Richmond to Baltimore.. they say this will be the biggest snow fall amount ever in the DC area for December. First Copenhagen now here, wow what ever happend to Global Warming?

I parked the Stang in the heated Garage to start pulling the Cams and fix the Exhaust rattle, also looking at replacing the Header gaskets.. nothing else to do but watch the Snow fall for the next 3 days.......

You're ambitious! I'm sitting eating pop tarts and drinking coffee. The cars and drive will need a few clearings today, and I guess I'll do the first one about noon.

We are now at 16" and the wind started so drifting will begin, I gave up on the shovel...

The last time it snowed this much in a single day was 11.5 inches on December 17th 1938 ..
We may have broken that record, the day is not over yet.

I went out at 11am and 3pm to clear the drives, walkway and vehicles. I measured 12" before the first time, and another 12" the second time. measuring in the middle of the yard showed 18". Either way, I'm tuckered out, and am sitting with some hot tea to settle with after cleaning up. Tomorrow, assuming they plow the streets, will find me catching up on christmas shopping...ugh...

I did to, today the sun caused the snow to compact and settle a bit so totals today are less.

I managed to dig us out today. Only took half a day, both my drive way and the private pipe stem that leads to the house. Killer!

All the snow from the drive way is piled in front of the house, the kids carved it out and made and igloo.
