We were supposed to iron this out already, but most of us have been sick for the past two weeks.

Saturday, I am thinking about driving up and checking a few spots out before I start hitting up managers for pricing. The problem with group rates... most of the time you have to pay in full and well in advance. I'll let you know what I come up with.

Also, if we do get a good deal or enough people are going to crash at the same spot, I will get a room so we can all party together and not have to worry about tying to get home or sleeping in the grass at the track! LOL

Ok guys… this is very important that I get some information from you ASAP. I found a hotel to accommodate us and a Bar & Grill for us to hang at after the race. Here is what I need to know…


1.) Who wants to stay at the same hotel we do to take advantage of group rates and to be close to the party?
a. Please reply with if you will need Friday and/or Saturday, and if you need a room with one bed or two.

2.) Who is going to the after party?
a. I need a head count. Let me know if it will be +1, +2, etc.

I found a great hotel, Hampton Inn, in Frederick MD. It is 5 minutes from where the after party will be and 15 minutes from the race track. The building is pretty new and looks great. If you are 75% sure or better that you are coming and want to stay there, let me know by Monday morning.

Once we get the group rate, everyone who wants in will have to book with the hotel directly by Friday. There is no charge on your credit card from the hotel until the day you stay. If you need to cancel, you will need to give the hotel 24 hours notice to avoid a cancelation charge. Once the rate is negotiated, I will post it up.

A bunch of us are going to Hard Times after the race (about 7 PM) to have a Dutch-treat blow-out, play pool and get a nice solid buzz. LOL.

The manager (Justin) and I spoke tonight. I told him we may roll in with about 30 people or so. He loves the idea and is welcoming the S197 community to come hang out. He is trying to get a quick head count for that night. If we are coming in with 30+ people, he is going to have 3 or 4 extra servers come in to take care of us. So please let me know.

After a day of racing and a night of partying, I would hate to see someone get hurt due to being exhausted or intoxicated while trying to drive home.
