I did some research and took some weights and I found some very interesting things. The RaceStare wheels in an 15x8 weighs 14.5 lbs. the 26" MT's I would put on them are 31 lbs. That totals 45.5 lbs.

My current drag tires on the stock 17's weigh 47 lbs. There is very little weight savings there.

The skinnies weigh 10.5 lbs. and the front runner tires weigh 13 lbs. that totals 23.5 lbs.

That is a nice weight savings up front compared to the 52 lbs of my front tires.

So the skinnies are a no-brainner... but what about the rears?

That's pretty much the way I have it figured. The true bonus of the rears is that they are 15" so you increase sidewall considerably for a better launching set-up.

Ok, that sounds good, esp if I am going to run low PSI in the rears. Would I get more out of getting the skinnies first or the rears?

Either way you will have to spend time dialing in. If you get the car set-up with just the fronts, adding the rears later will change everything, same if you go the other way.

May be worth waiting till you get both. You can still learn some running as is till then.
You'll spend less time chasing the set-up.

If I had to choose, being the you wont be burning down the fronts it would make sense to start there.
