the link doesn't work for me
I think I may just get me some 15s!
I emailed them today and they dont mount, so I may just get the rims and order some M&Hs, I just dont like the look of the ET SRs if they made the SR IIs in 15s I'd get them....
oh BTW - it's your fault and its gonna cost me like $1400!

Beileve it or Not I mounted the front tires Myself... I used a Plastic interior removal tools to pry the tires on so I would not damage the rims. 10.00 to balance
The Rear tires I had NTW to do the Mount and balance 25.00 each
they used there no touch machine
the link doesn't work for me
Figures, it's just a useless sound bite anyway.

any suggestions as to the 275/60/15 or the 325/50/15? I wonder if I need a tire as wide as the 325
If your on 275's with 18"s and are hooking then the 275's on 15"s should work just as good if not better.

I actually have 265/40/18s now. here was my thinking, the smaller tire will weigh less,(looks like 5-6lbs) I already can cut 1.60 60's with a smaller width tire and the 275 will tuck under the fender better then a 325. That's why I was considering it.
I think the 275 is the right way to go, The more width the more drag, if you don't need the width for traction, it will just slow you down, the added weight wont help either.
The 265's you're running are 26"+
The 275/60 is 28". What rpm are you trapping now? The tall tire will definitely bring down your trap rpm and also effect the way you launch by raising your gear ratio.
If your not close to your shift rpm through the traps I would go with the 275/50 at just under 26", it will give you a lower gear ratio helping with launch as well as raising trap rpm. Don't forget all the sidewall you are gaining with 15"s, they will also hook better.

the current tire is a 26.4" height, I'm just about 6500-6600 at the line now, so going to a shorter tire is not a good thing IMHO. I was hoping for a 27" DR but just doesn't seem to exsist. I wanted to go M&H as well, petty I know but I like the tread pattern more then the MT SR, tho I may just go P295/55R15 in MT as its 27.8 and split the difference.
OK, didn't think you were that close at the end. I agree with sticking with M&H, but I'm in the same boat and have been looking at Hoosiers (https://www.hoosiertire.com/Drtire.htm), they have a 27" in 275 that I am most likely going with. Some of the guys I run with use Hoosiers and love them.
But they are not a drag radial and you want to drive them to the track, so probably not your best option.

yeah with a 4.10 and 26.4" tire @ 124 mph I'm at 6500 rpm. The taller tire will also help my highway cruising some. I do want to stick with a radial. To many damn choices!!

I just found the kit and it's complete in the box. It's yours. If you want to drive up Sunday (we'll be doing oil changes while the sun is out) that's fine, otherwise I'll be happy to drop it off in the mail Monday or Tuesday.
What works? PM me or send email...

I asked at S197 - but I'll as here too
does the tire tuck all the way under the well? any pics directly down the lenght of the car from either front or rear?
and lasty the Height @ 26.1- did you measure it at all? I know the 26.1 is MT figure. However if you do the math 275/50/15 = 25.8.
TIA

I take some Shots Sunday from the front and rear. But they do tuck inside the wheel quite nicely
I will also measure them. I am just going by the MT Specs

Yes they do. I was worried that they would not...
The fronts say 26, but they are actually 25.0 the Rears are 26.1 tall,
I think if I need fronts again I would get the MT #3009 27.5/4.5-15 that might make them 26.3 tall? anyone have them?
