So I got the wheels and tires mounted on Friday and had the time to put them on the car today. The fitment with the cam washers is a little tricky as some of you know. I took my time and was able to get them all on and tightened up. I used the hints that Marcspaz posted up about doing 6 then 2 o'clock position and that helped once I had them snug. It was a bit of a bitch to get the washers seated correctly. I used the blade from my leatherman to help keep them in place as I snugged the lug down.

there is a bit of space between the washer and the wheel (pic below) I hope that it's normal - comments are requested on that.

I test drove them and see how they feel and all seems good had the car up to 110 and no vibrations. In fact over expansion joints and rough road the rides better in my SOTP test.

One thing I am disappointing about is the way they stick out. I thought for sure with the 15 x 8 and 275 tire it would tuck under. I guess the 15 x 10s have a different offset so they look (IMO) better. The car definately has the more old school look with them on.

yes that normal since these wheels are for both the Ford and GM 5 Lug Bolt Patterns..

Yea the Offset of the 15X10 does allow them to tuck in under the fender, the 8's keep the wheel off of the Sway bar mount. you would need to do the sway bar relo to mount the 10's. wheels look great...

thanks Scott... I gotta say they do look good, but I'm let down by the fact that they stick out.

Well found out a couple of things, as the fitment is annoying me, the Racestar website says the offset is 25MM, the box is marked 19MM, so that's one issue. After looking at the car again, I noticed that the driver side seemed to stick out more then the passenger side, so I did my best to measure. It seems that my axle must not be centered as the driver side sticks out about 5/16" more then the passenger. With the stock 18s I never noticed it.

I'm gonna call Racestar tomorrow and see what they say about the offset. IMHO for our cars the 15 x 8s should come with a 30mm offset to tuck under well. I wish I had realized this first I dont think I would have ordered them if I knew they would stick out, that or I'd have gone for the 15 x 10s as they seem to tuck under better thanks to a 51mm offset. __________________

I would call Race Star for sure. They may have sent you a set with the wrong off-set in error. I got a mixed set of 20-1/2 and 20-716 lugs.
